Gillian and Steve

For me, the best thing about painting is having the creative freedom to portray a scene imaginatively. My total obsession with abstract expressionist artist Lee Krasner is clear in this woodland scene, as seen from the colours and shapes I’ve used around the base of the trees.  I really loved painting this photograph of Gillian and Steve to celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary.
