Maneesha and Theepan

It was so lovely to return to The Manor at Bickley to paint at Manisha and Theepan’s stunning Hindu wedding ceremony. I love this part when they exchanged garlands, they looked so happy and I aimed to capture this joy in the painting.

For a personal touch, I painted Theepan’s late father into the composition from photographs, as though he was there sharing this special moment with them. That’s one of the magical things about painting… materialising a vision without limitation.
